Catchup TV Has All of the Major Networks

Now that I have seen Catchup TV I am really happy that I have found one website where I can view all of the streaming content from the major Australian television networks. It is great to be able to view past episodes of my favourite shows but I am a bit disapointed that shows like Air Crash Investigators are not available on there. It is the fault of the network that screens it though and it probably becasue they do not have permission to stream the content online. There are quite a few different comments on there from people requesting for this show to be available so I am not the only one who feels this way. Perhaps if the networks could come to agreements with the producers we would have a fully fledged streaming media system but I won’t hold too much hope that this will happen any time soon.

About Emily Gilmore

Emily Gilmore is one of the key cast members on the show Gilmore Girls. She doesn’t live in Stars Hollow really preferring city life a lot more. She is mother to Lorelai Gilmore and grandmother to Rory Gilmore. Kelly Bishop is the actress who plays this role and it’s amazing how her body language and tone of voice are so much softer and gentler than Emily’s.

As far as looks go the only thing that is really a little bit out there about Emily is her slight red hair. She usually dresses in suits and pearls.

Her relationship is totally different with both Lorelai and Rory. Lorelei seems to be a constant disappointment and the two of them try to find even ground throughout the show and tend to fail almost every single time.

She never really forgives Lorelai for leaving her household, or not marrying Rory’s father. This can even be a source of fights much later in the show. However, she really just dotes on Rory. She even makes Rory her own room in her home at one point. She also tries to take over the mother role throughout the show. She constantly tells Lorelai how to raise Rory. She hopes that Rory will one day become everything that Lorelai is not. She wants her to go to an Ivy League school, join society, and marry well.

She is also Richard’s wife and takes great pride in that. She spends most of her time planning elaborate meals. She does a lot of charity work and goes to lots of Daughters of the American Revolution meetings. In later seasons this life seems a little bit less appealing. She starts questioning her worth which ends up hurting her marriage and her relationships with other family members.

As far as her comedic role in the show she is known for getting rid of her maids almost every single episode. Not even the maids can meet up to her impeccably high standards. She rarely knows what country they are from or even their names. She has a very dry sense of humor and rarely makes any jokes. However, she does have cutting wit and sarcasm but it often comes off as mean. We never really find out what happened to make her so cold, whether it’s just a generation gap or an unpleasant childhood.

Emily Gilmore is all about control. In fact the only way that she can get Rory and Lorelai to see her on a consistent basis is just to basically bribe them. Richard Gilmore looks ready to just give Lorelai the money for Rory’s Chilton education. However, Emily insists that she institutes Friday night dinners. Emily always looks at this as an arrangement, while Lorelai views it as a loan. It leads to one of the bigger fights between the two on the show.
